You said it feels a little scary and honestly I love that for you 🙏😊 That feeling of caring so much for a piece of yourself that you have to let it out into the world is a feeling like no other! Can't wait to hear it.

I’m excited for you and us! Also this! “I think there are a lot of musicians and songwriters who never quite felt at home growing up. For some of us, the studio becomes that place where we feel accepted, valued, and understood.”

Thank you for reading, Lisa. Excitement all around! One of the first bands I was in in the '90s was the first time I ever felt like I had a family.

I can relate! I felt the same about mine, late eighties!

I was always searching for community and belonging.

It is a scary thing. I didn’t expect to feel terror the first time I released on streaming, but I did. But I didn’t die. And I kept releasing. I can almost guarantee you’ll have a similar experience. 🙂

Thanks for this. I’ve experienced all kinds of unexpected feelings since starting this project. I’ve felt completely calm when I thought I’d have anxiety and vice versa. Even though I have a lot of experience performing and recording, this has been a completely different ride, in the best way.

I’m waiting… 😉✅

I wrote music for 3 years… Without any intention of releasing it in the current system. Last album 2014… Then in Nov. 2025 - decided to start releasing only to find a completely changed world 🌎. I haven’t given up… but struggle every day - just to stay in.

I suppose we have to do it for ourselves first… no other reason - otherwise this industry - the demands - the nonsense surrounding us can easily take any of us - out of the game… I never worked so hard - for so little…yet I’m still here 🤣🤭 Anyway…❤️ your story! congrats on your return & Keep up the good work 🌷

I know! I feel like I'm learning an entirely new industry. The only thing keeping me going is that I feel like I have to do it. That’s it. It’s what I’ve always wanted. I'm glad you're still here and still making music. Here's to both of us figuring it out as we go.

Can’t wait to hear it. The process is so odd. I just finished a song about a month ago that I wrote in January of 2025. It won’t come out until our next record in the fall. So it will have been almost two years in the making. Other stuff we get out in 6 weeks.

Thanks so much for reading, David. Songs seem to have their own timeline, don’t they?

Yes!

Congrats on this milestone! I salute your persistence and courage to keep moving forward on what you love. Creating isn't an overnight or drive-thru experience. It takes time and an incredible amount of patience.

I can't wait to hear the song!
